Avner Dorman is an award-winning composer, conductor, and educator. He has spent most of his career writing for professional orchestras and opera houses. Some of the world’s best orchestras have commissioned and performed his works. These include the Cleveland Orchestra, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and the New York Philharmonic. Dorman's music has garnered numerous awards and prizes. He holds a doctorate in composition from the Juilliard School. Dorman currently serves as an Associate Professor of Music Theory and Composition at the Sunderman Conservatory of Music at Gettysburg College.
