About Am're Ford

Am’re (uh-mah-ree) Ford (b. 1990, Oklahoma City, OK) is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, performer, educator and consultant.

Ford uses his experiences in church, orchestra, band, and hip-hop to create soundscapes that are rhythmically engaging, harmonically lush, and melodically captivating.

Ford’s music has been performed by a myriad of institutions and organizations including Winona State University Band, University of Central Oklahoma Chamber Orchestra, California State University, Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, Sequoyah Middle School Orchestra (OK), Thomas Jefferson Middle School Orchestra (VA), and Quayle United Methodist Church (OK), and The Church of the Living God Ministries (OK).

Ford holds a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance and a Master of Music in Composition. He also serves as a board member for the International Society for Black Musicians and is a member of Leadership Arts Class XI, Kappa Kappa Psi National Honorary Band Fraternity Inc., and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia Fraternity of America, Inc.

Aside from composing and performing, Am’re spends his free time baking, laughing or with his family, friends and dog, Maestro.
